How does a photovoltaic system work?
EXPLANATION :
Photovoltaic solar energy is electrical energy produced from solar radiation. It offers a sustainable, ecological response to today’s energy challenges. The light of the sun is an inexhaustible source of energy, free of charge and available everywhere; every day it supplies 10 000 times the quantity of energy consumed in the world! It can be immediately transformed into electricity via photovoltaic panels which are most often installed on the roof.
THE OPERATING PRINCIPE :
The photovoltaic panels are made up of small electronic components based on silicon, the photovoltaic cells. In contact with the sun’s rays these panels generate direct current, without mechanical parts, without noise and without polluting waste. The electricity produced is converted by a converter that transforms this direct current into alternating current, identical to that of the network.
With a photovoltaic system, you produce your own energy, and the surplus current is reinjected into the public distribution network.
